How a Christian can overcome the hopelessness of addiction

How a Christian can overcome the hopelessness of addiction.

So what is hopelessness? It is a feeling that conditions will never improve, that there is no solution to a problem, and, for many, a feeling that dying by suicide would be better than living.

I will never be happy again, I will never get over what happened.
I don’t see things ever improving, There is no point in trying anymore.
I just want to give up, Things are hopeless.
I feel so hopeless, There is no hope for me.
What do I have to look forward to?
The future is empty for me.
I only see things getting worse in the future.
Everything is going downhill, I will never get back to the way I was.
It’s too late for me, nothing that I can do to make things better.
I have no sense of purpose in life.
Times you just feel like giving up, feel like you’re being backed into the corner, and no escape …

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ form the dead. (1 Peter 1:3)

The hope we have in Christ, when we die, we go to heaven, beginning of wisdom, beginning of Hope.

No Guilt, No Shame, No Condemnation, foundation of Peace and Joy in our hearts. Can’t have peace and Joy without righteousness.

Addiction is the emotional result of hopelessness. Joy is the emotional result of hope. Peace is the emotional result of faith. These are spiritual problems, must be corrected in the spiritual realm.Hopelessness will lose it’s power over us, when we accept righteousness.May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13).

Be thankful to God, for all you have been given.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 Give thanks in all circumstances, Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always and for everything, James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above.

Proverbs 23:7 As a man thinks in his heart, so is he

Never say you feel hopeless again, say Thank you Jesus I have real hope from you.

Mark 11:23 I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.

Mark 11:24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. Google (Epigenetics and the Word of God).

You may have been thinking and saying that you are hopeless, and it gets into your subconscious, and become a spiritual stronghold (any underlying belief that is contrary to the Word of God, over a long period of time).

Thank you Father, Jesus has set me free from this stronghold of hopelessness and I will never speak it or think about it again.

This will take some time to dig up the lies in your subconscious, but it will and your reality will change (renewed mind) does set us free from these strongholds, the truth will set you free. The finished work of Jesus, He has given us the victory over all the wiles of the enemy. Knowing this brings tremendous hope to any captive.

As a man thinks in his heart, so is he ….
